About Mollie's
Mollie's came about out of two best friends who grew up on the same council estate in the heart of East London, Bethnal Green and having been through thick & thin together, deciding to put their friendship to the ultimate test by going into business together. Lee Cook is the creative half with Carla De Lemos being the business head. They decided to follow their dreams and put their all into going it alone. The results of their hard work, blood sweat and tears is; Mollie Sugden Hairdressing. Their salon is in the heart of one of the most vibrant and cutting edge parts of London; Brick Lane is on the forefront of style and fashion and Mollie Sugden Hairdressing prides itself on setting trends and is a forward thinking salon. Although in a trendy part of town, regardless it is where they both call home, long before it became fashionable. The salon is a testament to what can be done with some hard work and a vision. They designed the salon and downstairs beauty and tanning salon without any previous experience and it has received many compliments for its quirky and opulent style . It is a shade of aubergine with two large crystal chandeliers, a funky glass flock wallpapered feature wall, a handmade leather reception (designed and made by themselves) and a pop art Mollie Sugden picture at pride and place by reception. Everything (apart from the washbacks, because nobody sells them locally) in the salon was bought from small businesses in the area and all the work done was done by local people, many friends of friends. Mollie Sugden Hairdressing is only newly opened but aspires to be a great salon, where fabulous hair, friendly service, a welcoming homely feel in sumptuous surroundings and reasonable prices will set us apart from other salons .
